Introducing the 2012 Constitution which was ratified on the 23rd September 2012.

The 18th Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers (18CCEM) was held in Pailles, Mauritius from 28-31 August 2012. The Conference was opened by the Hon Dr Ahmed Rashid Beebeejaun, GCSK, FRCP, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, who stressed the importance of education as the driver of economic growth and development.

The next CCEAM conference was held in Cyprus on 3-7 November, 2012
