International Intervisitation Program

The International Intervisitation Program (IIP) was founded jointly by UCEA and The Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration. It has traditionally met every four years in a different part of the world.

ACEL and CCEAM was brought into existence as the Commonwealth Council of Educational Administration (so initially CCEA) by a meeting in 1970 at the University of New England, Armidale, New South Wales, Australia, which was convened at the conclusion of the second IIP by Professor Bill Walker of that university.

Educational administration and leadership scholars and practitioners are welcome to attend this International Intervisitation Program which will be hosted by education jurisdictions, universities and schools from throughout Australia.  Content in this program will include comprehensive information about the Australian School and University Systems and discussion will focus on what is working well in Australian schools and where we are working to improve our results.  Delegates are encouraged to identify the areas they would like to learn about so that the program can be customised.

This invitation is extended to all international delegates attending the 2010 ACEL – CCEAM conference. The International Intervisitation Program will be held on the 27th and 28th September at the Convention Centre and at surrounding education institutions. Please complete the section on the registration form title International Intervisitation Program to register for this program.
